With good weather over the past two days, Roscoe Bay has been a hive of activity with kayaking, hiking and swimming topping the list of things to do but, unfortunately, we'll be leaving in the morning. We're finally out of fresh food and it's time to go shopping. Though I'm sure we'll be back, if not this year, next. It'sdifficult to find a better anchorage – good holding, great protection from winds, a freshwater lake and hiking trails. But in the meantime, it's up anchor at high tide tomorrow morning and a 20 nm trip over to Rebecca Spit on Quadra Island.
As for the seal pup, he was sitting out on the rocks this morning sunning himself while his mother, whom we still haven't seen, went out fishing. He happily posed for a couple of pictures before falling back to sleep and we haven't seen him since. Even though we were worried about him getting so close to the anti-foul paint on the boat and his cries broke our hearts, we sure miss the little guy.
