The Chihuly Bridge at The Museum of Glass in Tacoma.
Today is David’s “Sweet 16” in reverse and to celebrate his birthday along with our seventh anniversary (which was April 9) we drove down to Tacoma to visit the Museum of Glass yesterday, something we’ve been threatening to do since we arrived in the Pacific Northwest over three years ago.
It was somewhat serendipitous that the city was hosting The Gray Skies Blues Festival the same day, making it a “two-for-one”. So after the museum, we walked across the street to the Harmon Brewery for a late lunch and to sample one of their brews while listening to the last of The Billy Shew Band. And then on to the Swiss Pub where we stayed the rest of the day listening to Rafeal Tranquillo, Chester Dennis Jones and the award-winning Karen Lovely Band. It was a great day and a good excuse to take a break from the boat and to do something fun!
