Cambria at anchor in Roscoe Bay

The great thing about living on a boat is that once you get tired of your current neighbourhood, you can easily move.  Which is exactly what we did this afternoon – nine nautical miles down Waddington Channel to Roscoe Bay.

That’s not to say that we don’t like Walsh Cove.  We do.  And we’ve had a really nice time over the past four days relaxing in the peace and quiet; but once you tire of kayaking, there’s not much to do and Sally and I need to move our paws – we need trails!  And Roscoe Bay has several to choose from.

With an afternoon high tide, we didn’t arrive until later in the day so I waited until after dinner to take Sally to shore where she had a great time.  Whether it was because she had more room to roam or because I didn’t have to follow her around like a nervous mother just in case she decided to jump off a rock again, who knows?  But she trotted around like an excited puppy wagging her tail the entire time.  If there’s one thing you can say about Sally, it’s that she’s easy to please – a scoop of peanut butter and a nice place to walk.  That’s all it takes.  Wouldn’t it be great if we were all that uncomplicated?
