We motored up to Van Anda on Texada Island from Ballet Bay this morning solely to buy sausages from the butcher at the local market. You can imagine our disappointment when we learned that he recently moved to the store on the eastern side of the island. There aren't any facilities here – showers, laundry or fuel – but we were both still so tired from our time in Princess Louisa Inlet that we stayed the night anyway.
